Chevy Burger | Little place, big taste | Marikina City

Discovering great places to eat is one of the things that is very fun to share. On a personal note, I make it a point that a number of my friends or family go and try eating there as well since I am very curious about how will they find it. Will we have the same reaction after or will it be different? (and many more questions similar to that)

Honestly, I have eaten here quite a number of times already and just blogged about it now since I became quite busy with other things (erm, like work hehe). I'll share my favorite dishes here provided by the featured establishment so that in the event you have the chance to try them, feel free to let me know if you find them good or not.

Introducing to you one of the break-out food establishments in Marikina, our feature for this post - is Chevy Burger. The name is catchy since the word "chevy" is very seldom used which means closely like "to chase or hunt". Combining it with the burger gives you a statement that may mean "A burger worthy of finding".

The first burger that I tried here was the "Messy Melt" since I saw that there is BACON in it haha! Plus their signature iced tea since I was curious about how will it differ from the other iced teas. Looking at the menu board, I initially rated it as one of the over-priced business ventures again since there are plenty of options (especially fast-food chains)  to buy such meals at half their prices. But guess what, the burger's taste was very original and I was left hanging on what the ingredients they used to create that kind of patty. Well, I selected out the mushrooms since I don't eat them but the experience of eating the burger was still pure happiness (lol).

And about their signature iced tea, t'was awesome. My standard or basis of a great iced tea is the ones served at Tokyo Tokyo (the red one). But this one is in its own league. There were even a few times that I keep dropping by their store and would solely buy it due to my personal cravings. For an iced tea as big as the "biggie" sized serving of Wendy's is.. not.. that.. bad.. it is crazy gyud!

If you are curious about their menu, their average price per item is about P75 (mostly for main courses). But they are not limited to burgers as they also serve pasta, rice meals, sandwiches, and snacks like nachos and fries.

Here is a photo of their scrumptious nachos combined with a generous serving of creamy cheese, chunks of beef, fresh tomatoes, and healthy onions. It is just the perfect snack for everyone, especially for get-togethers and reunions.

And now to finish the post with a secret, their updated menu boards have marks if that specific dish is a specialty or not (may it be a pink diamond image after the name of the item or a text stating "Signature Sandwich" for sandwiches), I personally recommend them for you to prioritize on trying them first since most of them have outstanding tastes.

My ultimate suggestion is their chicken sandwich (Chicken 'Wich in their language). It has the perfect balance in the texture of the chicken sandwich plus the fresh and crispy lettuce on top makes it that good. I always like the bread crispy as well so I make it a point to tell them that I wanted the bread to be double-toasted or nearly burnt (Dark brown). The sandwich contains Pepinos too if I am correct which is my first time appreciating them in terms of their taste because in most dishes they are overpowered by other ingredients.

Currently, they have 6 branches all in all namely one in Calumpang (which is I think their first branch), Antipolo, Manggahan (Pasig), Congressional Ave. (Quezon City), within Sumulong Highway, and one in Lamuan. Their establishments are quite small and limited but they serve big and great dishes to their customers. And that is where I think they get their official tagline for the business.

I recorded my Chevy experience at their Calumpang branch hehe! Hope you like it!

We usually go here to meet with our churchmates or when we wanted to taste something different other than the usual restaurants we dine in and this place never fails to give our tummy a great time. Most of the time, their place is full of customers so I suggest you try to show up at unexpected times to fully enjoy the experience. Have fun! Bring friends with you as you will surely be in for a treat and don't forget to thank God for the money you are spending hehe.

UPDATE

We revisited Chevy after some years and this same Marikina-Lamuan branch is still going! Wow! I actually missed their chicken sandwich so I came along with some friends and tried some of their foods again.

We tried the following:

messy melt
messy melt

chicken wich

Chevy belly

Chevy's chicken supreme

nuggets & fries

macho nachos

The chicken sandwich was the same and I still love it! If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing something big. The messy melt was good but since I don't eat mushrooms, it was so-so for me. The Chevy belly's presentation was really nice. It looks tall, munchy, and stuffed. The patty was thick and good so it was nice. The Chevy's chicken supreme was a bit overcooked so the chicken inside was quite hard to chew. Other than that, I think it should taste great if it was cooked properly. The side dishes (nuggets & fries and macho nachos) were ordinary but the holla quesadilla was really good. I find its cheese dip a great partner for it so we all enjoyed it. Syempre, inorder ni kots Marlon yan eh. Haha!

P.S. The holla quesadilla was so good that we forgot to take a picture of it before eating. Haha! Anyway, you can see it in our groupie below.
