Christmas on the streets | Real essence of Christmas

When you say Christmas nowadays, what comes to your mind? Maybe gifts for kids, holidays, parties, and celebrations for the adults (including reunions and gatherings), a time to feast for some, a time of rest for a few. Well, sharing in general right? It is a season that if not all of us then most of us are happy because of all the lights and the feel-good music surrounding us. We always not forget to celebrate when this time comes.. but do we always remember why we celebrate it and who should be the center of it all?

If I am not mistaken, this is the 2nd time this team is doing it which started just a year ago. What's great about this activity is that the whole program intends to not only share their own blessings to others but share the good news that will change the lives of people forever.. and that is sharing Jesus to them as well.

These packed goodies were donated by people and were packed individually by volunteers from a church group. It just makes the whole thing more meaningful as it is a collective effort of different people with the same goal.

As the group arrived at the location near a riverside, no time was wasted as each one (paired) has gone directly on their own paths to find the person(s) they wanted to share the blessings and the good news with.

Here are some of them:

Each one has their own stories to tell and sharing this precious time especially this very special season means a lot to most of them; An aid to make their celebration a little bit better, just another person to simply check on how are they doing,  or even to serve as an instrument to fulfill an answered prayer can be some of them - such simple acts that can mean everything to another. Who wouldn't want that right? You helping or being the one helped is both a blessing! So don't forget to appreciate every moment.

Sharing blessings to others is a good thing to do but if you share Jesus with them.. You are sharing the source of all blessings. God bless everyone and have a blessed Christmas. To God be all the glory.

  5. It's a good cause but it would be nicer if people (generally) didn't have to wait till a festivity to show kindness. Nice post.
