One of the popular streets in Quezon City is Banawe Street which is known for having many automotive shops and of course, food places and restaurants. We visited the area and tried one of the most unique food experiences they have here and it was all good.

Their name is Moon Hey Hotpot and Grill. Even though they are one of the food establishments that is located at the end of the strip, they are one of the most intended restaurants that must be visited & recommended by social media people.
Their main feature is their conveyor belt way of serving food. Everything will pass by the table so there is no need to go around to get food. Just wait, get, cook & eat!
They have 2 major offerings which are either grill OR hotpot or grill AND hotpot.

But whichever you select from those two, you can enjoy unlimited rice, drinks, sauces, fruits, and even ice cream.
unlimited drinks |
unlimited fruits |
unlimited ice cream |
sauce all-you-can |
P.S. They have a special sauce that you can request for them to make from any of their dining area staff. You can use it as a special dip for all the food you are going to cook and grill.
What I like about their selection here is that they have vegetables available on the conveyor belt including some delicious delicacies like the crabs in the first photo above and the following:
fish fillet |
colorful noodles |
Almost all of the meats they serve here are marinated well and taste great. I actually liked all the meats I grilled here including some chicken teriyaki, pork slices, beef belly, chicken hotdogs, meatballs, crab fingers, and many many more. Usually, in samgyup places, meats taste bland, especially after being grilled but here, I can still taste the flavors and I loved it. Sarap!
Dad was able to boil some eggs (lol) and Mom cooked a lot of shrimp using their hotpots. They liked a bunch of items here but with all the selections available, they were just describing what those looked like. Tingin-tingin din minsan sa pangalan ng kinakaen at baka kung ano na yan. Haha!
Moon Hey hotpot & grill dining |
I don't know if it was just a coincidence but it was very cold inside the establishment when we stayed there. It was drizzling a bit outside and I was already chilling after drinking my ice-filled iced tea and eating a single ice cream stick. Well, this is actually a good thing for me since it's summer so I am enjoying the cold atmosphere inside.
We visited on a Sunday (dinner time) so there was a queue present. There was a large group that just got out when we went in so we had to wait for like at least 30 mins. before we were able to sit at a table. Again, it may be just a coincidence so I will recommend you guys to make reservations or prepare some patience if you are going to visit as walk-in customers (which we did).
P.S. We were waiting with one of their regular customers while in the queue and they were keeping us a bit by entertained explaining the peak & off hours of the establishment and how that big group that just got out affected our waiting time.
But all-in-all, I am generally impressed by the food, service, and ambiance of Moon Hey so I would definitely come back when able. Great job, Moon Hey!
