Ad.Plus publisher review | Improve online earnings

As an online publisher myself, my continuous effort on finding the perfect ad partner to monetizing my blog is always present. I remember in the past that it has been listed in my bucket list to achieve on  receiving my first-ever paycheck by using this blog and it did happen eventually - the short story here. Now, the only thing left there is since it's already done is to move forward and make it something bigger and something better.

Back then, I thought Google Adsense is the sole best platform there is in terms of monetizing any blog or website. Well, it really depends on our own perspectives, current conditions, and targets but when it comes to average rates and advertisement features.. it seems not the case.

I found Ad+ and it made my earnings better with additional new advertisement features which were so exciting to use. But before we get into those, let me start first about their requirements before becoming a publisher under their platform:

Ad+ minimum requirements as stated on their website

- 100,000 page views per month
- Content safe (no adult content)
- Not blocked by Google Adsense or AdX (Ad exchange)
- Use their ads.txt on your site (to be given after initial assessment)

Once you hit these, go and apply immediately thru their contact us button on their website. Feel free to let me know if you need any assistance as I can refer you to them for better response time since I am currently in their program.

As for the next step, they will be providing you now their own ads.txt lines to be placed on your site when they reply to your initial email, and, that is only IF you pass their initial screening. A number of days would be needed here so they can gather sufficient data about your site's performance and if everything is good, they'll now set up your account and provide you with the ad codes.

Type of Ad.Plus ads

- Ad Banners
- Sticky/Adhesive bottom Ad
- Native Multiplex
- In-Article video (my favorite)

This combination of ad features is quite rare to be found in a single ad provider so they are really a great find for those of you who want to make better earnings. My favorite feature so far here is the in-article video because not only that you can find this feature on some of the top-rated ad providers but because it is an additional opportunity to earn without taking any of the usual ad spaces available, plus it looks so legit too haha!

* Installing the ad codes is relatively the same as installing your regular Google Adsense codes so it should be easy and simple for most of us.

For the dashboard, here is a screenshot of mine. I find it really simple and effective. The important factors are highlighted which makes it easy for us publishers to determine our site's performance in one look. There is always something special when keeping it simple, right?

Now we go to the rates (CPM)! It is quite rare for any ad platform to give such a figure but I can really attest to this as I have experienced it first-hand. You can expect to get $2 per 1,000 views across their network which is the average and it can go to as high as $10 per 1000 views depending on the quality of traffic or what tier your guests belong to. To find out more about the so-called "visitor tiers", you can visit my list of ad platforms for website or blog monetization article for more details about it as I briefly discuss it there. And for the better news, the video ad performs multiple times better than these regular rates so it's a must-have!

You should have seen an actual in-video ad right after the first picture above (if not, you can scroll up again unless it is one of the few times that it has not been requested). [Temporarily disabled]

As per the payouts, although they are more into wire transfers, they also do PayPal when needed which is what I am currently using. I made sure to complete the whole process before writing this so I just had my first payout from them. Yahoo!

For new accounts, they pay net 45 (meaning they'll pay your earnings after 45 days of securing it) then will go to net 30 after a few months once the relationship is established. They also practice the 80-20 share meaning you get to keep 80% of your earnings while they get 20% of it. It's actually not that bad considering other ad platforms because you'll be guaranteed to have at least a two-digit percentage increase in earnings VS a regular Adsense account, they'll enroll your Ad+ account to the Google Ad Exchange program. This ad exchange program will surely boost the performance of your ads in terms of revenue because its actually considered a premium feature to large publishers (letting some of the large advertisers bid for the available ad spaces where the highest bidder wins) so merely having an access to this is already something to appreciate.

Minimum payment thresholds are $100 and $200 for PayPal and wire transfers respectively.

One of the things I really appreciate from day 1 since signing up is their customer support and assistance. They respond to my emails accordingly and straight to the point which I really value. It may seem basic but that support gives us publishers the security that help and guidance will be given if any problem arises, and a reference person to go to is a big positive point to consider.

And with that, I will surely welcome any questions, comments, and yes, even referrals (if possible) to cater to anything unclear, need clarification, or request for more details to the information given above as per your need. I will try to help as much as I could but please do make sure to check their official website here first before anything else.

P.S. I also did a pre-research before joining and you may encounter a lot of misleading information about them online. Just make sure that you are looking at things about Ad+ or Ad.Plus (logo above) because a simple change in character there could mean about a different entity already. Feel free to follow their Facebook fan page here as a start. ;)

  1. How are your earnings, so far? $2 per 1K views is quite high. Does it impact site speed too much?

    1. much better than before TBH. All ads impact site speed, right?

    2. The ad network I’m using has very little impact on speed. I always get a green in GTMetrix. Great income as well but I’m really curious with Ad Plus. I signed up with them before but I didn’t push through with the implementation if the ads.txt.

  5. That's interesting, I never heard about Ad plus before. I must say that if your website is generating 100,000 page views a month that you would probably be better off with Mediavine or AdThrive as their payout rates per 1,000 are much better to be honest.

  6. Nice! Maybe I'll have time to signup here. Thanks!

Lately, it's been really difficult to find time to blog, so I hope I could actually go back to it now. Thanks for the lead.

  16. Ad.plus is a scam network beware. They will wait until you are due for payout then close your account for whatever reason. They are a bunch of scammers.

  18. Hi,

Do you still use them? how is it like?

    ReplyDelete
  19. They closed my account on the 24th of the month and refused paying me. According to them, Google had closed my account on the 24th. Money made the previous month which Google must have sent on the 21st of the current month (If you understand how Google Payment works), should have been paid. The current month's earnings should have been the only one affected. No, they refused paying and stopped replying every of my messages.

I wouldn't recommend using them. Especially if doing over $1000 a month.
